This museum is located on the territory of what was the largest winery during the Soviet era. In 1981, it was decided to create a winemaking museum here for the arrival of the leader of the USSR, L. Brezhnev. The museum was created by 1982; however, due to his health condition, L. Brezhnev was unable to visit it. In this museum, tourists can learn about the history of winemaking in Azerbaijan, see products from those years, and taste some wines.

Day 3. Baku – Ganja

Today, tourists depart for the city of Ganja. The first stop is scheduled at Gobustan – the rock art museum. Here, tourists will visit an interactive museum and an open-air museum. The rock carvings of Gobustan belong to different epochs and date from the 10th-8th millennia BC to the Middle Ages. Covering such a vast historical period, they hold a high place among other rock art collections in the world. Through the efforts of archaeologists, more than 6,000 drawings were discovered on 1,000 rocks, along with ancient dwellings – caves and settlements – about 40 mounds, and more than 100,000 items of material culture. The most ancient drawings date back to the Mesolithic era; however, it is assumed that life existed here even earlier, which allows Gobustan to be considered one of the cradles of civilization. After Gobustan, tourists will enjoy an introduction and wine tasting at the "Azgranata" winery. It is here that, along with other alcoholic products, the famous pomegranate wine is produced. After the tasting, tourists will continue their journey and soon arrive in the city of Ganja, where they will check into a hotel and rest.

From here, tourists will travel to the city of Goygol, formerly Helenendorf. This city was founded in the early 19th century by settlers from Swabia. In the city itself, it will be interesting to visit the house of a German settler, preserved in its original form. Then, tourists will depart for the city of Sheki. On the way to Sheki, tourists will stop at the Az Abrau winery, where a short tour of the estate and wine tasting awaits them.
